with formal presentation wooden box
The claybody used to throw this unglazed wood fired flower vase contains both granite chunks from Milford, NH and also some clay from Wilton, NH. These local materials impart a unique quality to the surface of the piece, darkening the clay color, and providing both tactile as well as visual texture.. Small rocks of granite burst through the surface of the clay like raisins in a baked bun to mingle with the fused woodash deposits, which where thick, take on a grey-green tinge. Comes with documentation and an (optional) signed wooden storage box. #8028
