This wood fired chaire (powdered tea container) has a rich green Oribe glaze that shows a "hare's fur" variation in it's coloration in response to both the wood flame and also the use of a heavy iron-rich clay body under the glaze. The lower part is left unglazed, but it has picked up a heavy ash patina. The lid is of thrown porcelain, and has fused wood ash on the outer surface and gold on the interior. Comes with documentation and a signed wooden storage box. #6010
